Performance and builds · Staged, with GTTunerz

Tuning

ECU tuning in stages, carried out with our tuning partner GTTunerz in Ghitorni. We fit the hardware and plan the tune with the rest of the car.

What it is

Tuning rewrites how the engine is controlled: boost, fuelling and timing. Done well, it adds power and torque and sharpens the response, while staying within what the engine and gearbox can take.

It is done in stages. Stage 1 is software only on a standard car. Stage 2 adds hardware that helps the engine breathe: downpipe, intake, intercooler and exhaust. Stage 3 goes into turbochargers and internals and is a different kind of project.

We work with GTTunerz, a tuning specialist in Ghitorni. They write and verify the tune; we fit the hardware and plan it into the rest of the build.

Who it is for

  • Turbocharged BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Porsche and VW group cars
  • Owners adding an exhaust or downpipe who want the software to match
  • Builds planned as a whole: tune, exhaust, wheels and styling

How the job runs

  1. Consultation

We agree the goal: response, power or both, and which stage suits the car and how it is used.

  2. Health check

The car is checked before tuning, because tuning shows up any weakness already there.

  3. Hardware

For Stage 2, the downpipe, intake, intercooler or exhaust is fitted in our bays.

  4. Tune

The tune is written and loaded by GTTunerz, and checked with logs.

  5. Road test and handover

The car is driven and checked, and you get the details of what was changed.

What goes on the car

We name the exact product, its specification and its warranty in writing on your estimate, so you know what is going on the car before you approve the work.

Options

Stage 1
Software only, on a standard car. The biggest gain for the money.
Stage 2
Software with hardware: downpipe, intake, intercooler and exhaust.
Gearbox tuning
Shift speed and behaviour to match the new power, where the car supports it.

Aftercare

  • Service intervals matter more on a tuned car; stick to them or shorten them.
  • Use the fuel grade the tune was written for.
  • Let the engine warm up before using full power.

What it will not do

  • Tuning can affect a manufacturer warranty and insurance; ask before you commit.
  • Power figures depend on the car's condition and fuel; we do not promise a number before seeing the car.
  • A tune shows up existing faults, which should be fixed first.

Questions

Tuning, asked and answered.

What is the difference between Stage 1 and Stage 2?

Stage 1 is software only, for a standard car. Stage 2 adds hardware that improves airflow, usually a downpipe, and sometimes an intake, intercooler and exhaust, with software written for that hardware.

Who does the tuning?

Our partner GTTunerz writes and loads the tune; we fit the hardware and plan the tune into the rest of the car. Both workshops are in Ghitorni.

Will tuning affect my warranty?

It can. Manufacturers may decline engine and gearbox claims on a tuned car, and insurers should be told. We explain what applies to your car before you decide.

Is it reversible?

A software tune can usually be returned to the factory map. Hardware can be refitted if you keep the original parts.
